Summer time in Southern California can cause danger, and in some cases, be deadly. Just last year in 2018, California hit the record for "deadliest and most destructive wildfire season in California". There were a total of 8,527 fires burning 1,893,913 acres. Some tips to prevent a fire are:
- Check for damage often on your electrical cords to make sure they are well protected.
- Keep your kitchen attended at all times while you are cooking.
- Avoid an overload of electrical outlets.
- Teach your kids about fire safety.
- Keep appliances unplugged when not in use.
